School-building Visiting Workshop
"The establishment of the first and second United Hearts Hope primary schools"
United Hearts pays frequent on-site visits to ensure the school construction is in proper progress. As you can see from the photos taken in Guizhou, the schools are decayed and in threatening conditions. Even though children are lucky to receive education in schools, it is also important to offer them a safe learning environment. Thus school-building is one of the major projects of United Hearts.
Through several visits and discussions, on June 14 2000, United Hearts, Guizhou Education Department and Hope Committee finally agreed to establish two more schools - Xin Lu United Hearts Hope School and Shi Zhong United Hearts Hope School. These schools do not only offer safer, more comfortable learning environment for the children in Guizhou, but also provide more seats to allow more children to receive education.
School Building Approval Process
After the visit, a report including the details of the visit and photos taken on site will be submitted to the School-building Department and the Council for school-building approval.
Contract Signing
To ensure school-building is on schedule, a contract will be signed between United Hearts and the local Education Department after being approved by the Council.
Application of Fund
United Hearts has set up a procedure for distributing funds, so as to ensure the funding is effectively used:

The cost of school-building will be shared among Untied Hearts, the local Education Department and the local Government. |

Funding will be disbursed in three installments: |

30% of the cost will be disbursed after receipt of the report and photos upon completion of foundation for school-building. |
| - |
30% of the cost will be disbursed after receipt of the report and photos upon completion of main school building. |
| - |
40% of the cost will be disbursed after approval of the completion of project. |
| 3. |
All funding will be directly transferred to the bank account of the related government. |
| 4. |
Frequent visit will be paid upon school establishment and at the beginning of the school operation. |
Participation of the General Public
United Hearts sincerely invites our members and general public to join our Visiting Tour and the School Inaugural Ceremony. This is a good opportunity for general public to understand the situation of the schools in rural areas in China, and the learning environment of the children. The most important thing is to share the happiness of school completion.
